Captain America 381, page 23.

Artist: Ron Lim
Inker: Dan Bulanadi

Another "Trial of Diamondback" page; this one after her attempted escape as Bushmaster and King Cobra fight to recapture her (and Paladin, who is helping her). Despite the name, which has moved into the questionable domain in the last couple decades, I'm something of a fan of Bushmaster, and the fight between him and Diamondback was something I couldn't resist. I do note - he gets a mouthful of acid here, and he's up and fine and able to battle Captain America next issue. He's also one of very few serpents to vote Diamondback as innocent, but that doesn't stop him from trying to capture her after her escape. Bushie's backstory (he's a quadriplegic who's been stuck with a bionic snake's body) is actually fairly clever, and he has a great visual - this is a character who needs more pagetime!

This page was purchased online through Heroes Comic Books in late March / early April of 2007.
