Marvel Two-in-One.
Issue 74, page 28.

Artist: Frank Springer
Inker: Chic Stone

I confess to being a little torn on this page - Frank Springer's style seems very simplistic somehow, and the art almost feels like something out of a 1960s Betty and Veronica book. Maybe its the lack of backgrounds in all panels but one, but something about this page seems a little off. The writing is also a tad preachy, though this is the "moral" page of the story.

On the plus side, this is a very enjoyable story, and this page has not just Ben but also the Puppet Master and a big personal favorite, Bova, so its hard to go wrong. If you're not familiar with Bova, picture Mrs. Doubtfire as a humanoid cow. She's got one of those great out-there Marvel backstories, and I'm ever-so-happy to have a Bova piece among my MTIO stuff.

This was an EBay purchase, in May of 2007. As page prices seem to be going through the roof, this one somehow snuck under the radar and ended up very affordable.
