X-Men Annual 13, page 40.

When there's no worthwhile MTIO art out there, I seem to be working on a Serpent Society fetish instead. This is the last page of X-Men Annual 13, part of the "Atlantis Attacks" storyline which ran through all of that summers Marvel Annuals. Here we find Sidewinder and Diamondback selling mystic jewels to Llyra and Ghaur, who intend to use them to recreate the Serpent Crown and resurrect Set.

It's slightly different- the lettering is done on the original page, not pasted on later (in fact, some white out and a note in blue shows us that the letterer originally misspelled "Ghaur" twice on this page), which is unlike most of the art I have. Also, the grey background in the bottom panel was laid on, cut with a knife, and then pasted on- I'm assuming it was computer printed in some way, and it makes a nice background.

In any case, I like the Sidewinder/Diamondback team, and the Serpent Crown-like device in the bottom panel, so here it is...

This page was purchased through EBay from Chuck Costas, ComiconXion in July of 2004.
