Writer: Bill Mantlo
Penciller: Ron Wilson

Letterer: Karen Mantlo
Colorist: Janice Cohen
Editor: Marv Wolfman

The Guest Star:
Ka-Zar, Lord of the Hidden Jungle

The Villain:
      V, also known as Volcanus

Guest Shots:
Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Human Torch, Nick Fury, Zabu

The Set Up:
Bashful Benjy bails out of a SHIELD Hyper-Jet over the south pole, and as he falls, flashes back to how he got into this situation.
Earlier, in the Baxter Building, Reed had called the FF together about a sequence of volcanic activity that, if allowed to continue, could conceivably destory the earth. Reed and the rest of the FF stay in New York to research, and Ben is sent to Antartica to investigate there.
After a fight with a "petra -- terrara -- petro -- a big ugly leather-winged flying whatchamacallit" during the parachute ride down, Ben ends up in the Savage Land, and in a fight with an allosaurus. Hearing the struggle from afar, Ka-zar (with Zabu) shows up to lend a hand. With the dinosaur quickly dispatched, introductions are made and Ben reveals why he's in the Savage Land. Ka-zar offers his help, and the two head for the craters. Arriving close to the volcano, they find armed men in tanks and heat suits who are obviously up to no good...

Clobberin' Time?:
      Nope.

Petunia's Patch:
      Also nope.

Things of Interest:
The final page of this story says that it continues in Marvel Team-Up 47, but that's more than a little confused. The next issue, issue 17, is a two-parter, and _that_ is the issue that is continued into MTU 47.
Ben and Ka-zar travel across the Savage Land by jungle vine- a very amusing image for Ben...
Up to now, Marvel Feature and Marvel Two-in-One were both published every other month. This issue, cover-dated June, 1976, is the first to appear only one month (instead of two) after the previous issue, and from here on out MTIO is on a monthly schedule.
