The Set Up:
Ben and his nephew Franklin are in a video arcade playing games, and Franklin is just whupping Ben every which way. Heading back to the Baxter Building, the two meet up with a scientist who's invented a video game and has come to see Reed about it. Ben, hoping for some pointers on how to keep up with Franklin, invites him up.
The game, Space Saver, is pretty obviously a PacMan rip-off, but when Ben sets it up and starts playing, the three of them are suddenly teleported to the planet K'rith. It turns out that the planet is under attack by some Gobblers from the planet Gh'runji. The K'rithians had intercepted the computer code from the game, thought it was real, and decided to transport the hero, Space Saver, to save them. Instead, they got Ben, Franklin, and the scientist, who have to save the day...

Clobberin' Time?:
      No.

Petunia's Patch:
      No.

Things of Interest:
You wouldn't have thought they could top (bottom?) last issue, but this issue does indeed get my vote for the distinct ('cuz dis stinked!) honor of being the worst ever issue of MTIO! Yes, indeed, they did seem to know that MTIO was ending in a couple issues, and they were playing out the string. (That last sentence may be harsh- to be fair, almost all the issues between about 87 and 99 are just abysmal. Its quite possible that its just coincidental that the comic bottomed out two issues before the end.)

Original art from your editor's collection. Having pronounced this the worst MTIO ever, how could I not buy a page from it when it came up cheap on EBay? There it is, ladies and gents... the Gh'runji Gobbler!
