The game ended in 1884 when ETI hit 100+ during a war started by France (and subsequently joined by Japan and Russia) against Britain. Only France took the Great War penalty. Another British-French war just four years earlier had driven tensions to the ceiling. There were no Chinese rebellions.
This game was played with an alternate rule whereby Japan had a divisor of 2.5.
