The game ended in 1888 with a Great War resulting from France's grab of Marocco, despite its commitment to Germany to not do so. Germany recruited Britain and Japan into an anti-French coalition, and when Russia failed to come to France's aid, France triggered the Great War by declaring war on Russia for violation of their defense treaty. Germany and France took the triple penalty for Great War culpability. There were no Chinese Rebellions.
The game was played with two important variant rules: all codominions were treated as partitions and the ETI threshold for triggering the Great War was secretly randomized (though the game ended before this came into play).
