The game ended in 1888 with a Great War resulting from Germany's declaration of war on Great Britain over Uganda and France's declaration of war on Belgium over Kamerun. After Russia declared on behalf of Germany and the United States declared on behalf of Britain, Italy broke its defense treaty with Britain rather than trigger the Great War. With the ETI at 99, Britain's final defensive ally, Japan, was obliged to increase the ETI over 100. Germany, Japan, and France took the triple penalty for Great War culpability. There were no Chinese Rebellions.
