The game ended during the 1888 Movement Phase when Great Britain violated a Treaty, increasing the ETI to 103 and ending the game. Great Britain was the only power to take the Great War Penalty. There were no Chinese Rebellions.
The game was notable for a 1884 War in which France was dismantled by a coalition of Britain, Germany, and Japan. The war was initially over a conflict in Egypt, with Japan dragged in after they declined to defend France against Britain and Germany. France attempted to run the game to its end rather than negotiate, but only managed to bring the ETI to 97 before the war ended with the dismantlement of the French empire.
