For each player, we’ve determined how many standard deviations away from the mean they averaged with each power. The higher the number, the better...

I then calculated their overall average standard deviation, and to make it all make sense, converted the standard deviations back into one final “position” score that tells you where, on the average, you would finish in a game based on your play so far. A score of 1 would be first place. A score of 4 is dead middle, a score of 7 is last place.
