The game ended in 1888 with the outbreak of a Great War involving Britain, Germany, France, and Austria-Hungary. Britain took the triple Great War penalty for being the first power to declare war. Austria-Hungary was the last to declare war (in defense of Germany) and so took no penalty. A chinese rebellion occurred in 1888.
